The five outpatient clinics have joined forces in the Support for Torture Victims association. The main objective of the association is to provide support for the victims of torture, war and displacement and help them work through their traumatic experiences so they can go back to leading independent lives.
Besides various psychotherapy techniques, physical approaches are also used, such as exercise and physiotherapy, medication and social work. The use of interpreters is an integral part of the service.
