A suitable approach will be developed in consultation with the applicants, and they are given guidance on how to use their own search resources. The data of the persons involved are kept strictly confidential. The missing person is always asked first whether they would like to re-establish contact with their family or not. This is for reasons of privacy and data protection.
The SRC Tracing Service provides personal counselling, conducts investigations and provides regular updates on the status of the search. The services are free of charge.
