Counselling centres for bi-national couples and families

Intercultural families and bi-national couples can find advice about life in Switzerland. The counselling centres provide information about legal, cultural and financial issues. They also answer questions about integration, partnership and family life.

The counselling centres provide information and advice about day-to-day life in Switzerland. They provide information about the following:

  • Legal issues, such as residence permits, the Law on Foreign Residents, international marriage and family law, questions work and professions, separation and divorce, etc.
  • Sociocultural and religious topics
  • Language, professional and social integration
  • Conflicts and mediation
  • etc.

Counselling is available in various languages.

Depending on the centre, counselling can be individual, by telephone, chat, e-mail or videoconference. You can contact regional counselling centres for individual sessions.

Some consultations may be subject to a charge (as mentioned on the various regional webpages).
